Lene's first book in English was Testosteroned Child. Sad., which is a little bit about Donald Trump and a lot about the mismatch between our understanding of the world and what is going on--and why that makes people vote for... well... Donald Trump. She wrote it in a frenzy February-March 2017 while Tomas was editing a mid-way draft of The Nordic Secret.
Since The Nordic Secret came out, Lene has written Metamodernity: Meaning and Hope in a Complex World (2019) and Bildung: Keep Growing (2020).
Lene's major work is the five volumes, 2,300 pages book series Baade-Og (Both-And), which came out 2005-2009 and covers big history, the latest technological development and the existential choices we face as a species. Her two last books in Danish were Danmark 2030 (Denmark 2030) from 2013 and Globalt gearskift (Globally Shifting Up) from 2014.
In 2015, she co-wrote the BINC Manifesto about Bio-, Info-, Nano-, and Cognitive technologies.
For her books, she received two Danish democracy awards: Ebbe Kløvedal-Reich's Democracy Prize (2007) and Døssingprisen (2012).
